Kōrin (1875-1910) was a designer whose artwork was published in a number of woodblock-printed picture books. The titles of seven books which included pictures featuring flowers and (or) birds are shown below. Click on a title to see the book's pictures. Kōrin was a student of the famous designer Sekka Kamisaka (1866-1942) whose designs were largely based on the art of Kōrin Ogata (1658-1716). Today this artistic style is called Rinpa (ie., Kō[RIN] school [PA]).
